The Responsible Gambling Council’s (RGC) kts2 program will begin on Ontario post-secondary campuses Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 9:00 am EST and end on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 6:00 pm EST.
How to Enter:
Eligibility
1. No purchase necessary to enter. Participants must be a student enrolled at a post-secondary campus in Ontario.
2. To be eligible for a $1,500.00 scholarship award, an entry form must be completed (including first and last name, email address and campus name) by hand and submitted in person to the kts2 representative at post-secondary campuses which have a kts2 display, or online. Entry forms can be obtained online at kts2.ca. or at post-secondary campuses that have a kts2 display. Entry forms must be accurately completed. Limit is one entry per person.
3. To be eligible for the two (2) $100.00 gift certificates per campus, an entry form must be completed (including first and last name, email address and campus name) by hand and submitted in person to the kts2 representative at post-secondary campuses which have a kts2 display. Entry forms can be obtained online at kts2.ca. or at post-secondary campuses that have a kts2 display. Entry forms must be accurately completed. Limit is one entry per person.
4. The official rules and regulations are available at kts2.ca and on the back of the quiz entry forms at post-secondary campuses which have a kts2 display.
Prizes
1. There will be two (2) scholarships awarded across Ontario consisting of one (1) $1,500.00 scholarship to be awarded at the end of the fall 2010 semester and a second $1,500.00 scholarship to be awarded at the end of the winter 2011 semester. One (1) $1,500.00 scholarship will be awarded by December 3, 2010 and selected from all eligible entries received from students enrolled at post-secondary campuses in Ontario from Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 9:00 am EST through Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 6:00 pm EST. The second $1,500.00 scholarship will be award by Friday, March 4, 2011 and selected from all eligible entries received from students enrolled at post-secondary campuses in Ontario from Monday, January 3, 2011 at 9:00 am EST through Friday, February 18, 2011 at 6:00 pm EST.
2. There will be two (2) gift certificates awarded per campus where the kts2 program is delivered in person on campuses in Ontario. One (1) gift card will consist of a $100.00 gift certificate for a local restaurant and one (1) gift card will consist of a $100.00 gift certificate for the campus bookstore.
Draws
1. Fall 2010 $1,500.00 scholarship award: a random computer draw of ten entries will be selected from all eligible online entries received on or before the contest closing date (Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 9:00 am EST through Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 6:00 pm EST) and entry forms of those ten entries will be printed. A random draw of ten entries will be done by a RGC representative from all by-hand entries. A further draw from the ten online and ten by-hand entries will take place for the fall 2010 semester $1,500.00 scholarship award. This draw will be made by a RGC representative in its offices on December 3, 2010. A back up entry form will be selected should the original selected entry not conform to the official rules and regulations. In order to win, the selected entry must have all quiz questions answered correctly and be a student enrolled at a post-secondary campus in Ontario.
2. Winter 2011 $1,500.00 scholarship award: a random computer draw of ten entries will be selected from all eligible online entries received on or before the contest closing date (Monday, January 3, 2011 at 9:00 am EST through Friday, February 18, 2011 at 6:00 pm EST) and entry forms of those ten entries will be printed. A random draw of ten entries will be done by a RGC representative from all by-hand entries. A further draw from the ten online and ten by-hand entries will take place for the winter 2010 semester $1,500.00 scholarship award. This draw will be made by a RGC representative in its offices on March 4, 2011. A back up entry form will be selected should the original selected entry not conform to the official rules and regulations. In order to win, the selected entry must have all quiz questions answered correctly and be a student enrolled at a post-secondary campus in Ontario.
3. The scholarship award recipient will be contacted via email by a RGC representative. The scholarship award recipient will be required to provide to RGC proof of enrollment at a participating kts2 campus by official correspondence from the Office of the Registrar. If the potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond to the email or cannot provide proof of eligible campus enrollment within fourteen (14) days, the potential winner will forfeit the scholarship award and RGC will contact the back up potential winner.
3. A random draw for the two (2) $100 gift certificates per campus will be made by a kts2 representative at the kts2 display on campus from all eligible by-hand entries received after the final closing day of the display. Two (2) back up entries will be selected (one per gift certificate) should the original selected entries not conform to the official rules and regulations. In order to win, the selected entries must have all quiz questions answered correctly and be a student enrolled at the participating kts2 campus that the gift certificate draw is taking place on.
4. The gift certificate recipients will be contacted via email by a kts2 representative. The recipients will confirm that they are a student enrolled at the selected campus and be asked to pick up their gift certificate at the offices of a pre-determined contact person on campus. If the potential winners cannot be contacted, fails to respond to the email or cannot verbally confirm campus enrollment within fourteen (14) days, the potential winners will forfeit the gift certificate and a kts2 representative will contact the back up potential winners.
5. There will be no substitution made except as provided herein at RGC’s sole discretion.
General
1. All entries become the property of RGC.
2. The draws are subject to all Federal, Provincial and local laws as well as the rules adopted in view of said laws.
3. RGC will not be responsible for any lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or illegal submissions.
4. By entering the kts2 contest, entrants consent to the use of their name in any publicity carried out by RGC without compensation.
5. By entering this contest, entrants consent to the use of their personal information for purposes of administering the contest, and for follow up research to be conducted by RGC. Entrants can view RGC’s privacy policy at

6. RGC reserves the right to cancel, suspect, and/or modify the program, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failure or other factor beyond RGC’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the draw, as determined by RGC in its sole discretion. RGC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the kts2 online or on-campus program or to be acting in violation of these official rules and regulations, or in a disruptive manner.
7. A complete list of scholarship award and gift certificate recipients, as they become available will be uploaded to www.kts2.ca beginning Thursday, September 2, 2010 and removed by Friday, August 26, 2011.
